Position of elements in frames

According to the JASPERREPORT documentation the position of elements in a frame is relative to the frame. This is also the position I see within IREPORT. However when I try to change the position of an element in the properties window, I must enter the position relative to the band. This is rather annoying because I must recalculated the position for each element.

 

Is there a setting to change this behaviour? I want to enter the position of the elements relative to the frame.

 

Note: I'm using version 1.2.0.
