loading a new jdbc driver

Hi there,

 

im new to ireports, and am trying to register a new jdbc driver so i can use it in the datasources /new connection menu.

 

ive copied the .jar file into the ireports /lib folder, into the jasper /lib folder, all to no avail - the driver does not appear in the new connections dialogue.

 

is there something i need to do to tell ireports there is a new jdbc driver to be used?

The JDBC drivers available in the combobox are not the real available drivers, but list of the most common JDBC driver and relative URL syntax.

 

Write by hand the name of your JDBC driver class

and the Url to connect to your DB.
