Subreport Looping

What exactly controls the amount of subreports that are generated? is it the master reports SQL statement, and the restriction that the incoming parameter into the subreport that determines how many subreports to generate? I'm basically having inifite filling when I hit compile and I have to kill iReports to stop it.

 

*Feature request - Active Threads window needs a right click or select and kill button.

 

*Feature request - Parameters should be allowed to include expressions with other parameters in them.

Hi Chris.

 

I think that the problem is a JasperReports loop: this can happen if you have a band bigger than the full page and you have set it to "not splittable".

 

Post your xml.

 

 

RFE 1) Will be present in the next iReport version (the version in CVS already supports all JR 0.6.2 and 0.6.3 new features)

RFE 2) You have to use variables to achive it.
