how to convert a number into a french format?

Hi!! I just want to know how to convert a number into a french format. I mean, I want to print , for example, the number 1,000.50 like this: 1 000.50!

 

I have already tried the format "# ,##0.00#;# ,##0.00#" but it doesn't work!! pleaz help me!!

Use the pattern editor.

It's important that your server has French as default locale.

Go to the textfield, set class to double and press the button to generate a pattern string

Thank for all Toffoli!!

 

I had the 0.3.0 ireport so I could not see the pattern editor. But now it works very well!!
