how to make vertical lines?

It seems impossible to draw lines across bands, e.g. from "column header" to "column footer". This would be a nice feature to make pretty tables, since the only workaround seems to be placing a line in every affectes band, but aligning those lines is not easy.

You have to put a vertical line in each band, the line must have top=0 height= band height.

Then set the stretch type to relativeToBandHeight.

 

Each vertical line will become height as the band in wich the line reside.

The problem gets a little bit more complicated if you want horizontal lines as well, especially with html and xls.
