But application hangs every time I use File Open/Save/Save As - basically anything that uses a Directory dialog box to give access to my computer. Error in CMD window as follows:- java.net.UnknownHostException: ireport.sf.net at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connect(Unknown Source) at java.net.Socket.connect(Unknown Source) at java.net.Socket.connect(Unknown Source) at sun.net.NetworkClient.doConnect(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.openServer(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.openServer(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.<init>(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.<init>(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.New(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.New(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.New(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.plainConnect(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.connect(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream(Unknown Source) at java.net.URL.openStream(Unknown Source) at it.businesslogic.ireport.plugin.checkupdate.UpgradeSearch.run(UpgradeSearch.java:20) at java.awt.event.InvocationEvent.dispatch(Unknown Source) at java.awt.EventQueue.dispatchEvent(Unknown Source) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpOneEventForHierarchy(Unknown Source) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEventsForHierarchy(Unknown Source) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEvents(Unknown Source) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEvents(Unknown Source) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.run(Unknown Source) Exception loading cID = resourceBundleBaseName: Can't find resource for bundle java.util.PropertyResourceBundle, key resourceBundleBase Name This doesn't mean much to me I'm afraid. Can anyone help - thanks. Problem with dialogs is causing huge problems for us- application just freezes whenever we use Save/File Open etc. We run from a large network which uses a domino.doc neighborhood - could iReports be having problem reading this extra 'directory'. Any help very welcome

svcdnase
First of all i forgot to mention i am using iReport 2.0.5.I found out the following: if i clicked any option that leads to an "open File/Dir"-Dialog the my CPU usage on my Antivirus-Programm(G-DATA-Antivirus) gets up to max. So i guess its an Antivirus-Issue. Since i can not shut down my Antivirus-Protection here(its a company-computer with limited user-rights) i cannot tell whether it would fix the Problem. So Simply try to deactivate your antivirus program.
