I'm using my own custom parameters in the report query (format is a little different from $P{name}). During runtime my application replaces the tags with actual values. However, since the query isn't valid during design time, iReport cannot read the fields and I am not able to save the query (OK button disabled).

 

Could this 'intelligence' please be disabled? Maybe a warning about the query not being valid would be better. Please allow me to save the query nevertheless. (in previous versions of iReport this was not a problem)

We'll add an options to disable query validation.

Please report this as RFE or Bug to remember me the problem...
