Problem with subreport

Problem with subreport

I have a report that calls a subreport. I created the subreport by following the tutorial. Both the Master and Subreport compile fine, and when run independantly, both get data in them. However when I try to run them together the subreport doesn't show up. All the other feilds from the master report show normaly, but the subreport just isn't there.

 

This is using iReports 0.4.1

 

Anyone got any clues?

As you don't have a query within your masterreport I guess you're using a customDataSource for your reports, isn't it?

 

If so you can't use the same datasource for master and subreport at the same time without some tricks.

 

if you want to display a master-child like report that for each masterrecord the corresponding childs should be shown you should pass the second datasource for example as parameter when you fill the masterreport and use it as datasource-expression within the subreport-element.
