String being HTML-escaped, how to turn off?

I am new to iReports and don't know much about jasper reports either so please bear with me :)

 

I want to have the following text appear in my final reports:

 

<a href="http://mysite.com">dynamic text</a>

 

Unfortunately either iReports or jasper is escaping the HTML and generating this instead:

 

<a href='http://mysite.com'>Click Here</a>

 

The < and > are being replaced by < and >

 

How can I prevent this?

 

I don't think I can use a normal link because the link address and text are dynamic (one or both).
