iReports crashes laptop

iReports crashes laptop

After designing/editing a report, I attempt to exit iReports. The window closes but the command prompt never returns. At this time, all window events are locked. I can't hit Start button. CTRL-ALT-DEL does nothing. My mouse eventually stops responding. The only way for me to exit the problem is to shutdown the laptop & restart.

 

I'm using JDK1.4.1 on a Dell laptop running W2K (SP1). Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would really like to use iReport (& not the other JasperReport designers) to design/edit reports.

Try to upgrade your jdk to 1.4.2

In case anyone is watching this thread, upgrading to JDK1.4.2 worked nicely.
