Quick iReports Question - Grouping Data by Field

Hi all,

 

Trying to build a report which is basically grouped by one field from two tables - order header and order lines.

 

The header contains the order number and order lines has the line info i.e. more than one line usually

 

So I want a page per order, containing however many lines the order has in the detail section.

I've tried all the ways rounds I can think of , but can't seem to get it to do this. The header part is fine, but the detail part doesn't seem to link the orders together per page

 

For example you may have in the header : Order 12345C

 

But in the detail part you will have lines for other orders?

Hi,

Create order number group, so that you have order number header & order number footer then put your order number field in order header & order line fields in order footer not in detail band. so that order line fields followed by respective order header.
