mquinter
Hi,I have a report that collects data from a sqlserver database. I can´t see the accents or another special character ( spanish language). I think that the standard encoding configuration UTF-8 could resolve it, but It shows strange characters. I also check with the ISO-8859-1 encoding with the same result. Any ideas?. Thank you.Martha. mgeise
what do you mean by "it shows strange characters"? Does the font that you are using include the necessary symbols to render what you expect to see?
mquinter
I´m using SanSerif font. I think it should work, but I'm seeing "Remodelación baños" instead of "Remodelación baños" , for example.
mgeise
This is definitely an encoding issue. Searching around on the internet, this is pretty common when the default character set is not set right on the database, but assuming that you have other systems that are able to pull the data out correctly, there must be an encoding setting at either the application level or the JVM level that you are missing. bakthan
What should be your output format? PDF/DOC/ CSV?
mgeise
I don't think the output format is relevant in this case. Is there something that I am missing?
