The document has no pages

I have created a very simple report with just title using ireport 4.0.2 when tried to view the report it is giving me The document has no pages.

The same report when i am trying to see in ireport 3.0.0 I am able to see .

Can you please help how to trace and fix this issue(which property need to updated/changed) to the earliest possible.

you have to check the proprties of the data source. On the screen it is the 10.0.1.19 data source. Check whether it has the same properties as the data source you have used in iReport 3.0.x

 Are you using the "empty datasource" in iReport? That is the one that works for reports with no data, not others.

 Yes, the report is not using any datasource.I am just trying to display just title,(some time back i used the same ireport 4.0.2.- able to display the report even using datasource) but now when trying for very simple report. just with the title , this exceptin 'The document has no pages' is occuring .

Do i need to see any configuration setting. I even tried uninstalled  and reinstalled and tried the reporr. but the result is the same exception.

Use Datasource as EmptyDatasource then it will definately works.

use the "Empty datasource"  when the reporter  is not using any datasource. It will work!
