Problem exporting crosstab table to Excel files

Dear all,

I have create a report that just contain 1 crosstab table in Summary band. When I preview this report is done. The problem occur when I exporting the report to excel file. The error message is "The maximum column width for an individual cell is 255 character".

Please help me how to solve this problem..

Could you post the jrxml sample here?

Apparently an element width was set larger than the maximum limit allowed in Excel.

Can Jasperreport to export crosstab table to Excel automatically synchronize the table cells with excel cells?  

this is the jrxml file (attached).

We had the same problem with one of our reports. I opened a tracker with a detailed explanation and a sample report in which the issue happens:

Thanks for your information. I have read the "Jasperreports for Java Developers" that said the Jasper report include two Excel exporters, JExcelApiExporter and JRXlsExporter. it's preferable to use JExcelApiExporter (the newer Excel exporter).
