robsil
Are there any plans for a rewrite of iReport, either as a stand-alone app, or as an Eclipse plugin? Edit: To clarify... I've been having some performance problems with it (on a fast workstation) doing things like copy/pasting 10+ fields or dragging them around etc. Seems like it runs sluggish and might stand some optimization. It's free... and free is good... so I won't complain "that much" about it but just wondering if there are any plans related to that for the tool.Post Edited by robsil at 08/09/2010 20:33Post Edited by robsil at 08/09/2010 20:
baggypants
How is it not a stand alone app currently? The only prerequisite is Java
robsil
?It is a standalone app... I was just wondering if they have any major overhaul plans for it vs. just adding new features to the existing code-base. If they were then they would most likely write it as it's own stand alone app or an Eclipse plugin given that there are a lot of Java devleopers out there that use Eclipse and it has an open/extensible framework.Post Edited by robsil at 08/09/2010 20:
