Repository Navigator one-way ?

When I use the JasperServer Repository navigator in iReport, I can connect to my repository just fine, and I can upload to it just fine, but if I select a report jrxml from the repository and click "Open in editor" I get the following:

java.lang.RuntimeException

 

I get the same result if I try to Export or Run the report as well.  Yet the file is fine when I go see it in the JasperServer web interface.

It shouldn't be a permission issue, either, because I have even uploaded my own newly-created report, closed it in iReport, verified that it run over on JasperServer, then try to open it again via the iReport interface and it gives that error.

Is this a bug ??

The issue is probably more related to web services and your connection between iReport and JasperServer rather than being related to the file. I have run into problems when a machine is configured to use a proxy. Could that apply in your case?
