cinglez
Hello everybody. How can I use brazilian portuguese number / date formatting on Jasper Server? I use iReport 3.7 to design the jrxml files. The "pattern" property does not have the option "NNN.NN0,00".Please note that dots and commas do not follow the same patterns as the US number formats. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance Carlos Inglez
cinglez
Well,I followed the JasperServer Localization Guide. I created the files jasperserver_config_pt_BR.properties and jasperserver_messages_pt_BR.properties. Inside the config file I changed the date formats, but could not see where to change the number formats. In the applicationContext-security.xml, I added the line <value type="java.util.Locale">pt_BR</value>. Restarted Jasper Server. The documentation sugests it should follow the user's browser default locale. But I tried it on a brazilian portuguese Windows machine and the number formats are still american-style.On iReport the only thing I did was to change the pattern for that text box to currency (it was showing the american format). What am I missing here? Please help Carlos
lucianc
You should set #,##0.00 as number pattern in iReport, and then make sure that you login to JS using the Brazilian locale (check in the login screen). The pattern symbols will be changed according to the locale.Regards,Lucian
