maxmar
Hi,when I create a jrxml file with iReports 3.5.3 it is not possible to upload it to a Jasper server 3.5.0. repository. So it seems the versions are not compatible. The iReports changelog shows that it was adopted to jasper server 3.5.3. But where can I find the jasper server 3.5.3? Can I upgrade my 3.5.0 installation? And I can't find a 3.5.3 jasper server installation version. There is only 3.5.0 to download. Thanks for help,Max
baggypants
The changelog says"- Updated to JasperReports 3.5.3 "JasperReports is the report engine packaged as jar files, JasperServer and iReport both use JasperReports to generate reports.iReport 3.5.3 has JasperReports 3.5.3JasperServer has JasperReports 3.5.0Now, all is not lost. because iReport from 3.5.2 has a compatibility save mode to save early versions of JasperReport files. It's in Tools > Options > General tab > Compatibility tab
maxmar
Thanks for your replay. But when will there be a JasperServer version which uses JasperReports 3.5.3?
baggypants
Odd dev posts and rumors have version 3.6.x / 4.0 out in October / November ish. They tend to spring out with not much warning. In the meantime you can try by replacing the JasperReport jar files in%JasperInstallDir%/apache-tomcat/webapps/jasperserver/WEB-INF/libIt works with some versions . Have a search about and see if anyone else has tried it.Post Edited by baggypants at 09/07/2009 09:37Post Edited by baggypants at 09/07/2009 09:
