Vertical Overflow?

I'm designing a simple report-nothing fancy, just 5 or 6 columns that are being pulled out of a SQL database. The problem is some of the text that I need to appear in one of the columns can be up to a paragraph long. How do I make the field expand vertically to contain all of the text?

With some research I found this link that gives some instructions: http://ireport-guide.blogspot.com/

It says that you can accomplish this with these instructions:

Create a Dummy Group
Place it after all other groups
Put a unique key as the "Group Expression" (This way each record will create a new group)
Put your display fields in the group header and remove the details section

I think I followed these instructions and I still can only get the first line or so of text to appear on the report. Does anyone have any experience in making this work, or know another way to do it?
