What is JasperReports IO?

JasperReports IO is a lightweight HTTP-based service used to generate reports and data visualizations. It exposes its functionality through a REST API allowing it to be accessed using simple API calls.

Reports and visualizations generated by JasperReports IO range from static, document-type output to highly interactive HTML5 charts—both of which can be seamlessly embedded into web applications using a Client API based on Jaspersoft’s JavaScript framework called Visualize.js.

JasperReports IO includes a Dockerfile configuration making it easy to deploy in a container and run in modern cloud and microservices-based architectures.
