Database Privileges required by TIBCO JasperReports® Server

Database Privileges During Installation

1. The TIBCO JasperReports^® Server installation process and the repository database user need the following privileges to install and initialize the repository database:

   create/drop databases
   create/alter/drop tables/indexes/constraints
   insert/update/delete data
   

Privileges for External Data Sources

1. The database user for an external data source (configured in the data source dialog in the server) needs to have the privileges to run SELECT queries.

   We prohibit UPDATE/DELETE SQL commands in our SQL injection protection.

   In some cases, additional permissions may be required to execute stored procedures, depending on your configuration and needs.
