Opening two copies of a report causes modifications to the first instance

I tried opening a report, together with an earlier version of the same report from a different folder. When I opened the second copy, the first one was marked as modified and the contents had been reset to the contents of the second copy, essentially reversing the changes.

Note: This only happens if the two reports have the same file name.
