We are currently working on moving the RCP product of JSS to Eclipse 4.5. Therefore we will be able to add support to Java 8. The bundled JRE will be for sure a 1.8 version.See this duplicate bug: http://community.jaspersoft.com/jaspersoft-studio/issues/4086In the meanwhile if you want to use it, you should go with an Eclipse 4.x and install JSS as plugin.Regards,Massimo.
