Hi,you should build your project. Your are producing Java classes besides the sample report. Therefore in order to be used by JR they must be compiled.I suppose you don't have "Build automatically" enabled because it is the default preference in Studio. You can either hit CTRL+B (build workspace) or right click and "Build Project", instead of enabling it. This should solve the issue. Just in case try to close and re-open the report.Regards,Massimo.

I have built the project, re-opened the report, restarted Jaspersoft Studio and many other suggestions found on these forums, but I still can't get even the sample functions to be recognized in the functions library. I think there is something still afoot and that you should re-open this bug report. I am using Jaspersoft Studio Professional 6.0.0 final.
