    Hi,

I often work with frames. However there is an annoying bug when moving report elements in the outline to the correct level in the frame hierarchy. Basically, it completely misses and always puts it in the wrong frame.

When I move an element to before a frame, using the drop-in indicator line to check that I am at both the correct point and level. However, JSS places the dropped element instead of in front of a frame, into the next frame AND at the end of that frame. So, both level AND order goes horribly wrong.

    See vid.

PS. secondary bug: When copy-pasting a frame, JSS does NOT (as with any other element) places that copied frame next to (hierarchy wise) the original, but INSIDE the original frame.

    Kind regards,

    Maarten @ Yesplan

I tested with the new 5.6.2 v201409091438 beta, and no it's not fixed.

When I drag to reorder a group and drop it with the insert indication (the line with the little ball on the left), it drops the group INSIDE the NEXT group instead of in front.

    Kind regards,

Hi,i've looked at the problem and essentially it is a problem of the graphic library only the mac platform, so we can't do anything about this because the graphic libraries (SWT) are developed by someone elese. Anyway you can avoid this problem when dragging: you need only to avoid to drop the element above the image of the destination. If you drop it above the textual label the final position it's correct. Let's say that this is an swt mac bug that draw a line when it shouldn't. For example on windows while dragging if the pointer is between the label of two element it show the destination line, if it's above the image of the element it dosen't show the destination line but another symbol.

The swt library uses the widget provided by to OS and maybe this widgets works in a slightly different way from os to os (like in this case). However I wouldn't define this critical, only you need to do a bit more attention when you drop the element to not drop it the small space of the node icon

You call this a bit? I have not succeeded at moving a single field correctly! The whole point is that it doesn't even take into account the correct level!

Show me a screencast of yourself successfully moving fields in-between groups (and lists, because if you're not paying attention, the fields will disappear into them) in JSS on Mac and then you can say "wouldn't define this critical".
