Hi Mariano,we should wait for improvements from the JR team. They are supposed to enhance the data adapter "area", so that for example for JSON or XML you can specify a URI that can be a remote or local reference.I will point them to this issue.Regards,Massimo.

Hi,I asked to the JR team. This is what come up: changes to the data adapter "area" have been postponed to next version (not the upcoming 5.6). That being said, the current JSON data service/adapter does work with URLs. But it doesn't support Basic auth and other features of the "Remote XML" data adapter.I will try to temporary fix the behavior in JSS so it can be used in Dataset & Query dialog when trying to read fields or data preview. The major refactor will be performed once the stuff is implemented in JR.Regards,Massimo.
