Hi, it appears to be an Eclipse related problem.Moreover I found this topic on the OpenSuse forum: http://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/492348-eclipse-juno-crashs-on-OpenSuse-13-1It appears that the solution of running the application with "-Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.DefaultType=mozilla" JVM arg works.This is the same workaround that worked for some other users in Ubuntu or other Linux environment. Thank you mrabbi for your comment. I have read the Ubuntu solution and have tested it, but no change.

Is the error message the same one? Did you give a look in depth to the opensuse topic? Maybe there are some other hints.

Besides that option try to specify a custom XULRUNNER installation. See here: https://www.eclipse.org/swt/faq.php#browserlinux

You need to get a XulRunner version 10.x because JSS is based on Eclipse 3.8.2.

So download it from here http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/xulrunner/releases/10.0.2/runtimes/

After you have extracted it to a specific folder, add also the JVM arg "-Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath=/my/location/to/xulrunner/"

 

Since the problem should be related to the SWT browser widget and the engine it is trying to use, you can try with WEBKIT. Give a look also at this: http://community.jaspersoft.com/jaspersoft-studio/issues/3377
