Hi, I tried to reproduce the issue in the latest JSS available but also with the same version you specified (6.17.0).Please see the video recording here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/jasperstudio/files/DevelopersInfo/BugAttachments/Bug14146/As you can see everything is working fine. What I expect is happening on your side is that probably you have a "compatibility" settings to a JasperReports version < 6.11.0.The scaleFont details was added only in version 6.11.0. isStretchWithOverflow boolean property of text fields has been deprecated and replaced by thenew textAdjust property which adds a third option to scale down the font size in order for thetext content to fit the design size of the text field element;
