Our tests of PDF-A/1a standards conformance have shown a bug in Jasper Reports (PDF-A/1b has no such problem). When creating reports the Jasper Reports library uses non-standard structure tags in the PDF. While this is "not a big deal" when PDF-A/1a reports are verified with Adobe Acrobat, they are found to be non-conformant with the PDF-A/1a standard. The bug is contained in Jasper Reports version 4.5.1 and based on my source code comparison also in the latest version - 4.6.0.

    Hi,

The JR 5.0.1 release is based on a stable svn branch that doesn't include commits newer than #5826. Changes performed after rev. #5826 will be officially included in the upcoming JR 5.0.2.
