if filterExpression is an empty string, no pages are returned

simple presence of filterExpression tag is evaluated to false probably

from user perspective, maybe an empty expression meaning is "no expression" no filtering

Hi,Unfortunately, for some historic reasons, the filterExpression works like the printWhenExpression. Both are boolean and evaluate to true only if the value returned is Boolean.TRUE. Any other value, including null or empty tag in JRXML, evaluate to false. We'll leave it as is, to not introduce problems related to backward compatibility.Thanks,Teodor
