Text Field stretching vertically when exported to PDF

Correct. I rolled back to 4.0.1 and it's working correctly.

A fix has been committed to SVN and will be part of the next release.

 

In the meantime, one way to solve it is to make sure you control the fonts you use in your report (don't rely on defaults) and ship them with your reports as font extensions. Check out the docs and samples.
