I need to determine if there is any data in master report from subreport when the subreport is put in "no data" section of master report.
The good way to achieve this seems to be MASTER_TOTAL_PAGES variable, but the only evaluation time it works with is master, and when in "no data" section, it is not evaluated at all at "master". With all other evaluation times it is null, but not with master, that's why I can't even compare it to null.
The justification for this is when there is no data, there are 0 pages, so this should be 0 in that case.
The use case is I have common header for a bunch of records, but it needs to vary a bit when there is no data (especially it needs to show "1 of 1" page message).
