Summary:
Snap to grid broken in 1.2.3.
I have my grid set to 5 "pixels". With 1.2.3 objects snap to all kinds of positions except multiples of 5.

What zoom level are you using?

Did some more testing with a subreport that has both top and left margin set to 0. When I move a field near x positon 130, it snaps to 124, 129 or 130 (random?), 135, 139, 144, 150, etc. This is definitely a new bug.

Thanks, that solved the problem! I suppose something has changed in the grid department. Previously, the top and left margins did not have to be even multiples of the grid size. I'll have to adjust these margins on all templates to make snapping work again. Any chance that this problem is in fact a new bug and that the grid should still be relative to the band?

Perhaps because the grid starts from the top left corner of the document, not from the top left corner of the band. Look at the left/top margin size.

Yes, "snap to grid" is activated and the grid size is set to 5. After some more testing I've found that the behaviour isn't random as I first thought. When I open a design I created with 1.2.2 and move something, it snaps to a position that is always (?) x-1:y-3, where x:y are coordinates evenly divisible by 5. In other words, it snaps
on a 5:5 grid but the grid is slightly shifted.

I'm to able to reproduce the problem.
Are you sure that "Snap to grid" option is activated?
Can you guide me how to reproduce the problem?
Thanks
Giulio
