iReport incorrectly displays Calculation type on return value of subreport

After creating a subreport, adding it to the main report, and setting a return value with the Calculation type of Sum, I clicked OK in the Add/Modify dialog. When I return to that dialog and select Modify on the return value the Calculation type is set to Nothing.

The value displays correctly in the report and looks to be correct in the xml.
