Properties tab doesn't work properly

Sometimes, when I change a property (width is a good example) for any component on a report design, by typing in the properties tab on the width box, the component will not change properly. I have to go back to the width box, change the value to larger size and then change it back to the size I'm looking for and it will change accordingly.
