How to increase sorting speed

I shall be very grateful for any assistance you can give us in this issue. I use the Table component  from JasperSoftStudio  to display one million records in jasperreport server. "Net.sf.jasperreports.jdbc.fetch.size" property has helped to display these records quickly. But sorting according to this number of records, is carried out very long. Whether there is what some way to increase sorting speed?
