I created a report with Jaspersoft Studio 6.2.0. The data for the report comes from an Oracle database. The report works fine as long as I compile it and as long as I only preview the result. But if I use the 'Database and Query Dialog' and want to use the 'Data preview' it only works for reports without grouping!! So if I use a grouping in my report the 'Data preview' shows me the exception message 'Reset group "Group1" not found for variable'. "Group1" is the name of my created group. (see attached file)
Why do I get this exception?
I use Java (jdk1.8.0_65/ jre1.8.0_65) and the oracle database 11.2.0.4.0.

I use a bean collection for the datasource and updated the beancollectionfactory (with new data) and could no longer Refresh Preview Data. with the same error message on some auto generated variables and some variables I created for the report.
The groups still exist in the editor and everything remains the same. Report compiles OK just won't preview with data.
EG
java.lang.Exception: Reset group "netassets" not found for variable : netassets_COUNT --- net.sf.jasperreports.engine.design.JRDesignVariable@34191e5d

Hi there!
Same problem since 6.2.0 on reports that previusly were fine with data preview.
Any workarround?
Thanks.
Same issue. Fixed by reinstalling v6.1.1 to its own application directory. The "fixes" provided by v6.2 weren't much use to me anyway.
