Working from Adobe Illustrator or Acrobat

I'm just starting to work on my first Jaspersoft Studio project and would like to know what if any importing capabilities does JP Studio have when it comes to working with ai, eps or pdf files? I prefer to design within Illustrator than in Studio and if I can easily import from ai/eps/pdf  and then designate fields from there, that would make my workflow much faster.
