Can I make a Stacked Column Multi Line/Spline Report?

I see that can make a Stacked Column Single Line report and a Single Column Multi Line report but I need to be able to combine the two and every time I add an extra measure to either it just adds it to the item that is considered multi for the report (stacks in the former or lines in the latter).  I don't see any properties in the jrxml that I can alter to assign a measure to the line instead of the stack.  Does anyone have any idea how this can be done?
