So, I've dowloaded the HBase connector, started the REST server and now I've to create a HBase data source. How can I create it?

Hi Mark,
that connector is out of date and it probably won't work with recent versions of our products.
Please consider using the approach suggested in this article: How to use Apache Phoenix JDBC driver to run reports on HBase.
