I developed a new Ad Hoc view and a subsequent report from it, the report is generating the data from the domain without any issue.
But I am having trouble adding input controls to the report without editing the jrxml for the report. Is it even possible to do it.
I tried to copy the parameter name from the jrxml of the report as the parameter name for the input control but that didn’t seem to work.
I also put the query for the report, the new data seems to be loading but it is not being displayed on the report, does anyone have pointers.
Please help me out.

Normally, you can create input controls directly in the Ad Hoc view. You can right-click on any field and there is a menu item, Create Filter or something like that. The filter usually appears in the right-hand pane with a menu that lets you select the filter type (is one of , is equal to, etc.). Does this not meet your needs?
