gope
Hi,I've just signed up with Jaspersoft through AWS (lets call the server 12.12.123.123) and have a MySQL server (lets call it '34.34.345.345') on another EC2 instance. I'm trying to connect to the MySQL using the 'New Data Source' wizard using MySQL JDBC driver . I'm putting in all of the details for my server and I get the following error:Could not connect: Access denied for user 'myusername'@'12.12.123.123' (using password: YES)Now that is the confusing part. The server it is saying that access is denied for isn't the MySQL server but the Jaspersoft server itself. The login creditials I've put in are for access to 34.34.345.345 (like you would expect with any normal JDBC connector). I've even created exactly the same username and password for Jaspsersoft but I get the same error. Is this a bug?
elizam
Are there access restrictions on the server hosting the MysQL instance? Can you access MySQL as an admin directly from a command window on the AWS hosting the JasperReports Server? Sometimes databases have restrictions on remote access.
