Blank pdf when no data

Hello,
I have created a report with iReport 4.1.1.
This report contain a subreport.
In main and subreport I have set the propertie "When no data" to "no page"
The report is scheduled in JasperReport 5.6.0. The output is a file sent by FTP.
My problem is that when there is no data a blank pdf is created (empty pdf).
Is there a solution to get no report when there is no data ?

I've filed a bug report through Tibco Jaspersoft Support on this and it's been added as defeats/enhancement request. Before it's fixed, I think the way is to use REST v2 report generation API and do the data checking yourself.
