How do we pass an xml message to a jasper report on jasper server?

Hello,

A bit of a newbie question.  I looked for the answer and couldn't find it exactly.  We have an application that we call canned Jasper Reports on the Jasper Server (where we access data through SQL to our DB).  We want to change that so that we pass in an XML datasource, not as a file, but rather at the JMS layer - cause we don't want to save an xml file on the server (too much I/O).  I can't seem to find anything that tells me how to do this?  Any help would be appreciated.
