I'm absolutely new to Jaspersoft and struggling with a problem which is probably easy to solve ... but I couldn't find a solution either in the Jaspersoft community nor in google. It would be great if someone could help me! Thanks in advance!
I created a second dataset in my master report using an other connection as the main report (different oracle database user). So far it works fine and the data preview contains the correct data. But when I use this dataset in a table it always uses the connection of the master report. In the properties of the table I found the possibility to change the connection from "use same connection used to fill the master report" to "use another connection". But I have no idea what I have to use there - because $P{REPORT_CONNECTION} is of course also false.
I think (and hope) it should be possible to use the same connection as the dataset or at least enter a new JDBC Oracle connection string.
I hope someone can help me!
