amit_3
HiThere are few doubts in case of JasterSoft licensing. I understand the difference in community and commercial edition in terms of features and support. We plan to offer our software in following 3 modelsAs SaaS offering. Customers will subscribe to our cloud service and use software. They will use Jasper components to generate & view reports. Customers will pay us monthly fee for usage. We also intend to create instance of our software at customer site. This is on premise SaaS offering. In this case also, customer will use Jasper compoents to generate & view reports. Customers will pay us monthly fee for usageWe may also sell our software to end customers. Customer will use Jaspe comonents to generate & view reports. We charge one time fee for our software. We plan to make use of JasperServer, JasperStudio & JasperLibrary for this development. We don't intent to make any source code changes in these components and want to use as is.Please help me to underdand following1.We can use JasperServer, JasperStudio & JasperLibrary for all three distribution options.2. We don't need commercial license untill we need support & features offered3. There is no need to mention copyright information. Though, we need to mention Jaspersoft in credits and we publish use of community edition in our release notes4. We don't need to publish any of our software source code as we won't make changes to any of the Jaspesoft source code. We will use only binaries. If it is mandatory, can we publish source code of only module using Jaspersoft?Appreciate your help to provide clarity on licensing.RegardsAmit
Friendly User
Hello Amit, this board is mostly monitored by technical people who do not have much insight regarding licensing and legal. You would be better off sending this inquiry to our sales team (sales@jaspersoft.com / https://www.jaspersoft.com/contact-us).Kind regards,Vadim
