Why Error ocured when select datasource in jasper soft studio

     I am trying to create a jasper report in jasper soft studio but  i got "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver" this error when select the data source..Why this error occured..plz help

 I think  download  mysql driver and add to the classpath of Jaspersoft Studio.

Jaspersoft decided to bundle mariadb jdbc driver instead of mysql jdbc driver. You'll need to use mariadb driver class or download mysql connector/J.

Hi sruthyms,

This error comes up when there is mysql Connector missing, so what all you need to do is :

1. Place the mysql connector jar file in the  folder called plugin under the imstallation folder of Jasper Soft studio
for instance , C:/JasperSoft Studio- x.x.x/plugins folder.

2. Then try validating the datasource, for sure you will get the connection test passed.

I am attaching the MySQL Connector Jar file along with the post.

Hi Sruthyms

You can just add the " MySQL Connector"(Driver) at the Driver classpath. Click on the Data Adapter Wizard and select the Database JDBC Connect then click on the Driver Classpath to add ur Connector.
