ireport and custom executor

 i have a problem with ireport and i was wondering if you can help me..

i want to use ireport in order to generate reports from nimsoft NMS, those
queries will not use SQL but they will use a custom query language
NimsoftJSONTopN which actually is a data abstraction layer between ireport
and the nimsoft NMS, my problem is that i follow the instructions they give
in order to setup the custome query executors but then i try to run a query
using NimsoftJSONTopN it returns 0 records, the query cannot be wrong
because its their query and the compiled version of the report which uses
this query returns data as it should, any idea or tip?
