IReport - Problems with data refresh

We are using iReport 4.7.1.  When the reports are deployed from JasperServer, there is a delay in picking up any data changes/ new data.  I've tried the refresh button at the top and have also tried adding the following line to the mondarian.properities file (as suggested in another post):

mondrian.rolap.star.disableCaching=true 

I realize there is a 'clear adhoc cache' feature in JasperServer, but am unsure if that also applies to iReports??  Also, we have disabled acccess to 'Manage Server' for our customers (Jasper is being used to create reports within the software package my company sells.) I know the customers will whine if they have to go in and manually clear the cache even if we did give them access.

Any ideas?
