How can i accommodate rtl (right to left) alignment in iReport for arabic/hebrew? What changes are required at pdf level for arabic literals to be displayed right to left?

Note- the field variable($F(Translation)) am using in the report is fetching and displaying texts from a database in various languages(english,french,hebrew,arabic). So english should be "left to right" aligned but arabic/hebrew should be "right to left" aligned. Am eventually invoking the jrxml file from iReport via an ADF application; output has to be in PDF format.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
